In First Crops, 42 ponds gave good results in the summer season. The average size of the pond is 3000m²/pond. The ponds were stocked with 90,000 PL (Stocking density – 30 PL/m2) during the morning hours following standard acclimation procedure. They have given commercially available Standard Vannamei Feeds to the shrimps. They harvested Shrimps with an average body weight of 26 grams in a crop period of 115 days, which falls in 39 counts with an FCR of 1.2. Totally they harvested a crop of 80 tonnes of shrimps from an area of 30-acre ponds. The farmer faced less survival, white fecal, white muscle and water quality problems during the culture.
