Salem Microbes ventured into bacteriophage research in 2018 and has invested in infrastructure, technology and technical competence with a hardline focus to exploit this Emerging nascent Bacteriophage therapy domain. Today, we assure that we are in the forefront of bacteriophage research, specializing in isolation, characterization and formulation of bacteriophage cocktail with a short turnaround time. All our bacteriophages are Genotypically characterized to ensure proprietary formulation and traceability. Our Phage cocktails are lytic phages, specific against localized pathogens selected from various environment.

The cocktails are continuously upgraded to maintain the broad spectrum and highly virulent pathogen specificity and infectivity. Our in-house team ensures quick screening in case of an outbreak to make custom formulation of Bacteriophages from our expansive library of phages maintained on-campus.

We are ready to launch Bacteriophage cocktail against pathogenic Vibrio and Aeromonas prevalent in marine and brackish water for use in shrimp culture. Other active pipeline products includes Phages for Salmonella sp. and E.coli in the management of poultry and food processing value chains.
