Minati Nayak is a 50-year-old Shrimp farmer from Silda, Balasore, Odisha. She is a dedicated hard-working farmer. She has three daughters and a son. Her son is a teacher in a government school. Besides farming, she runs a small saree boutique in Silda, Chania.
She has ten years of experience in shrimp farming. She has two ponds and a reservoir pond in an area of 7000 m2. She encountered white fecal diseases while farming. For her successful culture, she consistently used SMPL products Grow up, Build-Up, Seedone, Aquaone, Gut Act, Yeast 5 G, Rider, Yuka, B-Yuka 30, Raksha, and Macro – PS. She takes care of her farm along with her son and our staff Chandan Kumar.
The shrimp attained a marketable with an average body weight of 25 grams in a crop period of 78 days with an FCR of 1.3. The farmer harvested a crop of 1.55 tonnes of shrimps from an area of 2000m2.
