K.N.V. Ratna Babu is a degree-holding shrimp farmer located in Machilipatnam Mandel, Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh. He entered the aquaculture field based on his family background. He has about 5 years of experience in aquaculture and owns about 32 acres of shrimp ponds. Initially, he started with fish farming and then convert it into shrimp farming.

He has 3 farm sites (Kona, Polatithippa, and Patheru) in Machilipatnam. The shrimps attained a marketable with an average body weight of 25 grams in a crop period of 86 days, which falls in 40 counts with an FCR of 1.4. He has harvested 12.6 tonnes from a 6-acre pond.

He used Salem microbes products, Vansafe, Prevent-WFS, Salmin, and Growup for his farming. He said Van Safe product gives a good result, reduces Ammonia and Nitrite very well, and improves the feed intake.
